School Lunch and Summer Food Programs for Kids

The Summer Food Service Program provides free, nutritious breakfasts and lunches to children and teens in low-income areas during the summer months when they are out of school.  Registration usually begins each year in May.  

Locate a summer food service program

The School Breakfast Program provides a free or reduced-cost breakfast for school children at the beginning of the school day. The program is federally-funded and is available to income-eligible school age children. Public and private, nonprofit schools participating in the program are reimbursed for the breakfasts served.

Search for a school breakfast program

The School Lunch Program provides a free or reduced-cost lunch for school children.  Most of the time a child who qualifies for the school lunch program is also eligible for the breakfast program.
